The Green Infrastructure Consultancy Presents

Parks and greenspaces in England deliver an estimated £6.6 billion of health, climate change and environmental benefits every year. But 80% of people now live in towns and cities and a third of people don’t have access to good quality green and blue space within 15 minutes of their homes. The government’s Environmental Improvement Plan includes a commitment that the public should be able to access a green area such as woodlands, wetlands, parks and rivers, within a 15-minute walk from their home.

The Green Infrastructure Framework provides a structure to analyse where greenspace in urban environments is needed most. It aims to support equitable access to greenspace across the country, with an overarching target for everyone to be able to reach good quality greenspace in their local area.

Join us to take a look at Natural England’s new Green Infrastructure Framework with the lead author of the Design Guide Gary Grant. We will be in London on Monday 20th February and Salford on Wednesday 22nd February. Places are limited, please book via our Eventbrite page to avoid disappointment.
