Green Infrastructure Strategy
GIC won a competitive tender to produce a green infrastructure strategy for Natural Resources Wales on behalf of Swansea Council. The strategy involved a period of intensive consultation with the public and special interest groups.

Conventional work on mapping of existing assets and promoting the development of a green infrastructure network was complemented by new approaches to urban greening, including the introduction of the Green Space Factor (GSF) to the city. The GSF is a method for measuring the extent and functionality of green infrastructure in planning proposals, which will drive up quality and improve the conversations between planners and applicants.
