Green Infrastructure Audit

GIC worked with The Temple Group to undertake a combined green infrastructure audit for the Team London Bridge and Better Bankside Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). The audit, which was funded by the Greater London Authority through Cross River Partnership, assessed the quantity and quality of vegetated cover in the area, including open spaces, green walls, green roofs and trees. The audit also highlighted opportunities to incorporate more planting and green space across the neighbourhood.

Outcomes of the Green Infrastructure Audit.

As a result of this work, rain gardens, green roofs, green walls and pocket park projects have been installed. There has been an increasing involvement of volunteers, who have been planting and maintaining rain gardens and other features.
