Living wall

Following the Victoria BID green infrastructure audit that we carried out in 2010, we proposed and designed one of the largest green walls in London.

Seven storeys high and covering 475 square metres, it was designed to attract pollinating insects and provide year-round interest. More than 20 species and 10,800 individual plants were used. The irrigation system uses rainwater collected from the roof.

GIC continues to be involved as a consultant to the maintenance contractor and 10 years after it opened, the green wall continues to thrive.
